The prestigious vocal sextet will perform next Friday May 25 in Figueres. The program includes pieces by John Bennet, William Byrd, Gyorgy Ligeti or Mateo Flecha, as well as a very interesting second part with pieces of a more popular style.

Juanjo Mena, Principal Conductor of the BBC Philharmonic will conduct a tour of concerts in some European cities. They will visit the following countries: Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Croatia and Turkey. They will perform different programs, with pieces by Schubert, Schumann, Elgar, Shostakovich and Mahler. The tour starts next 30th April in Innsbruck and ends on 14th May in Istanbul.

Pablo González, Principal Conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, will conduct Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona. The three perfomances will be on Thuesday 24th, Thursday 26 and Saturday 28th.

On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the “Palau de la Música de Valencia” the Orquesta de Valencia, conducted by its Principal Conductor, Yaron Traub, will play Falla’s La vida breve. The cast includes the following soloists: Cristina Gallardo Domas, Cristina Faus, Clara Mouriz, Gustavo Peña, Josep Miquel Ramón, Alfredo García, Albert Montserrat, Núria Pomares and the cantaora Ginesa Ortega.

The Canadian violinist Alexandre da Costa has won the award for “Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble or Solist with Large Ensemble Accompaniment” with a concerto for violin and orchestra by Michael Daugherty, recorded with the Orchestra Symphonique de Montréal and Pedro Halffter.

The guitarist will offer today a recital whose proceeds will go to “The legacy of music without borders”, a project founded by the guitarist himself in collaboration with the “International Community Foundation” of San Diego.

The Spanish conductor Santiago Serrate will conduct next week the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía. The program includes the Symphony no. 1 “Titan” by Mahler, “The telephone” by Menotti and the concert for cello and orchestra by Tomás Marco, who will be played by Damián Martínez Marco.

The Spanish guitarist will offer next week a recital at the Ateneo Romano in Bucarest. The program will be devoted entirely to Spanish music: Turina, Rodrigo, Tárrega, Albéniz and Gerónimo Giménez.

Günter Neuhold conducts this week two concerts, to mark the 90th anniversary of the orchestra, of which he is Chief Conductor. The piece will be Arnold Schönberg’s Gurre-Lieder, in which the Danish tenor Danish tenor Stig Andersen will be involved.

Great success of Asier Polo this weekend with the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias: "Beyond his technique, he designs a lyrical dream with a poetic and fine imagination".

The cellist Asier Polo will play this week two season concerts of the Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, under Yves Abel baton. He will play the Dutilleux’s concert. The program also includes pieces by Respighi and Liszt.

The conductor Antoni Ros Marbà will conduct next week the season concerts of the Orquesta Nacional de España, with three concerts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He will conduct the Tchaikovsky’s 4th Symphony, and Tomás Marco’s “América”, performed by Pilar Jurado and Alfredo García.

The harpist, who was soloist of the Wiener Philharmoniker, will play two season concerts of the Orquesta de Valencia, conducted by the Principal Conductor Yaron Traub. He will play the harp concert for orchestra of Elias Parish Alvars.

The Spanish conductor Juanjo Mena will conduct next week the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra. The program includes pieces by Brahms, Schubert and Beethoven.

El Spanish cellist Asier Polo will play this week with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, under the Principal Conductor of the orchestra, Carlos Miguel Prieto. He will play the Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations.

The conductor Antoni Ros Marbà and the pianist Rudolf Buchbinder will be guest artists of the next week season concert of the Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla. The program, devoted to Brahms, will include the second piano concert, the third symphony and the Brahmsiana-Fanfarre composed by Laura Vega.

The Spanish tenor Agustín Prunell-Friend will participate in the New Year's Concert of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia. He will sing the Mozart's Coronation Mass.

The Italian conductor Marzio Conti will conduct the Oviedo Filarmonía in the traditional New Year's Concert. The program includes pieces by Offenbach, Tchaikovsky, Delibes and Strauss.

Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos will conduct next week the traditional Christmas Concert with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Madrid. The program will be the Beethoven's IX Symphony. The soloists will be Raquel Lojendio, Cristina Faus, Steve Davislim and Reinhard Hagen.

The Spanish soprano Elena de la Merced wil sing next Thursday in the Christmas Concert of the Real Filharmonía de Galicia, conducted by Antoni Ros Marbà. The Händel Messiah will be performed also by the baritone Josep Miquel Ramón and the Rias Kammerchor.

The Chief Conductor of the Orquesta Sinfónica y Coro de Radio Televisión Española, Carlos Kalmar, will conduct this week the Christmas Concert in Madrid. The program includes pieces by Humperdinck, Schubert and Rouse.

The conductor Antoni Ros Marbà and the pianist Eldar Nebolsin appear again together on stage, with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria. Eldar Nebolsin will play the Chopin’s Piano Concert n. 1- The program also includes the Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony and the Toldrá’s “La filla del marxant”.

The Principal Conductor of the Bilbao Symphony Orchestra will conduct next week in Korea the Masan Philharmonic Orchestra. The program includes pieces by Mozart, Schumann and Tchaikovsky.

The young Spanish conductor will conduct next week the Joven Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid. The concert will take place during the Contemporary Music Festival of Madrid, organized by the Asociación of Composers in Madrid and the Centro Nacional de Difusión Musical.

The soprano Raquel Lojendio and the tenor Gustavo Peña will perform with the Orquesta Nacional de España this week. They will sing the Manuel de Falla's piece; and also two pieces of Richard Strauss.

The Spanish conductor Pablo González conducted last Monday the Stuttgarter Kammerorchester. The concert was at the Theaterhaus in Stuttgart. The program included pieces by Elgar, Britten and Shostakovich.

Hansjörg Schellenberger will conduct this week the second season concert of the ROSS. In the program, pieces by Brahms, Strauss and the Mozart's Concerto for harp and flute in C major.

The Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid has opened this season with a Concert that includes a piece by Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos. The Chief Conductor, José Ramón Encinar, conducted a piece titled Brahms Fanfarre by Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, debut in Spain, a piece by Pilar Jurado and the Carmina Burana by Orff.

Pablo González will be opening his second season as conductor of the OBC together with two large Catalan choirs: the Orfeó Català and the Cor Madrigal who, with the always warmly welcomed Polish contralto Ewa Podles, will be performing the epic music Prokofiev composed for Einsenstein's film about Russian hero Alexander Nevski.

The pianist Eldar Nebolsin made his debut at the Ravinia Festival, in Chicago, with a recital. It took place at the Gordon Bennett Hall. He performed a program with pieces by Schubert, Beethoven and some Liszt's transcriptions.

The Spanish orchestra, conducted by Marzio Conti, has participated in the Festival Internacional de Santander. The program was a liric gala, with pieces by Rossini, Mozart and Donizetti.

The Orquesta de Cámara Reina Sofía begins today a three concert tour by Canada. They will perform at the Festival Classique des Hautes-Laurentides and Festival Orford. The will count with Alexandre da Costa, who will play in every concert.

Pablo González, Principal Conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, made his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu last Sunday. He conducted Richard Strauss' Daphne opera, concert version. The second and last performance will take place today at 20:00.

On next 22nd July will take place a Juanjo Mena's concert in the world's greatest classical music festival, the PROMS. He will conduct the BBC Philharmonic (he will be next Principal Conductor from September 2011) with a program that includes pieces by Ravel, Debussy and Manuel de Falla. The concert will take place at the emblematic Royal Albert Hall.

Eldar Nebolsin has recorded recently for Naxos a CD entirely devoted to Schubert: Piano Sonatas Nos. 4 & 13 and the Wanderer Fantasy. It has already received a good reception from critics. Here we collect one of them.

The Cuban pianist Leonel Morales will play the Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concert with the Orquesta de Extremadura under Jesús Amigo. The concerts will take place on 16th and 17th in Badajoz and Cáceres, respectively.

The young musician, 26, has already a very important international career: he has performed in Europe and USA with important orchestras like the London Symphony Orchestra.

The vocal ensemble The King's Singers will perform next 9th April at La Orotava, Tenerife. They will perform pieces by John Bennet, Thomas Weelkes, György Ligeti, John Bartlett, Orlando Gibbons, Thomas Ravenscroft, John Wilbye Sweet, Malcolm Williamson y Paul Drayton.

The Canarian tenor Juan Antonio Sanabria will participe in April in the Giacomo Rossini's La scala di seta. The production will be at Tourcoing, Valencienne and Paris. He will perform the role of Dorvil.

The Austrian violinist Benjamin Schmid will perform the Sibelius' Violin Concert with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria. The concert will be on 18th March at the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus.

The Austrian pianist Rudolf Buchbinder will perform next Thuesday 22th February, a recital with pieces by Beethoven and Chopin. The concert will take place at the Palau de la Música in Valencia, where he will play the op. 3 nº 2 and "Apassionata" sonatas of Beethoven, and Chopin's Third Sonata .

The Spanish conductor Juanjo Mena will conduct four american orchestras between February and March: Baltimore, Curtis, Atlanta and Houston Symphony Orchestras. With many and varied programs he will visit such emblematic venues as the Carnegie Hall in New York.

From September 2012, Spanish maestro Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos is to be the Danish National Symphony Orchestra’s Chief Conductor. His predecessor, Thomas Dausgaard has led the orchestra since 2004, seeing the ensemble perform at the BBC Proms in 2010 to outstanding critical acclaim. He will depart at the end of the 2010/2011 season, and Frühbeck de Burgos will join the orchestra in 2012 for an initial contract of 3 seasons.

Next 14th February, Saint Valentine’s Day, Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic. The program includes pieces by Chaikovski, Wagner, Strauss and Manuel de Falla. Nuria Pomares and Plácido Domingo will be guest artists.

The Spanish Violoncellist will perform Joaquín Rodrigo's Concierto in modo galante, with the Orquesta de Extremadura under the batton of the Chief Conductor, Jesús Amigo. The concerts will take place next Thursday 13th in Badajoz and Friday 14th in Cáceres.

The next BBC Philharmonic's Principal Conductor will conduct four concerts with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, one of the most important orchestras in the world. The program will be dedicated to the 6th Tchaikovsky's Symphony ("Pathetic"), Ravel and the Korngold's Violin Concerto, with the violinist Renaud Capuçon.

Mto. Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos who hast just received the Musical America Award for Best Conductor of the Year, will conduct next Monday 27th December the 9th Symphony by Beethoven with the following soloists: María Espada, María José Suárez, Gustavo Peña and Reinhard Hagen.

The conductor Guillermo García Calvo will conduct Richard Wagner's Tristan und Isolde, at the Ópera de Oviedo. Under Alfred Kirchner's scenic direction, the soloists will be Robert-Dean Smith, Elisabete Matos, Petra Lang or Juan Antonio Sanabria, among others.

The next Principal Conductor of the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, Juanjo Mena, will conduct two concerts with the Orchestra della Svizera Italiana, in Lugano and Locarno. In the program, the Schumann's 2nd Symphony and the Kachaturian's Violin Concerto. The soloist will be Baiba Skride. The concerts will take place the next 16th and 17th December.

The prestigius conductor Anne Manson will come back to conduct the Orquesta de Extremadura the next 16th and 17th December. In this time, she will conduct pieces by Brahms and Samuel Barber.

The conductor Antoni Ros Marbà will conduct the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra the next 3rd and 4th December, at the Orchestra's Concert Hall in Varsovia. In the program, pieces by Brahms, Kornowicz and Falla.

Starting the 23rd of November 2010, the renowned vocal group “The King’s Singers” have joined Musiespaña’s important roster, which will represent this group in Spain and Portugal. Famous worldwide for their sound quality, The King’s Singers also enjoy an extraordinary link with the audience wherever they perform.

The concert took place the last 5th November in the Aalto Theater Essen, Germany. All of the press reviews gave unanimous recognition to the conductor and orchestra.

The italian pianist Benedetto Lupo will play on 19th, 20th and 21th November the Nino Rota's Piano Concert, with the Orquesta Nacional de España under de baton of Lawrence Renes. In the program, pieces by Bernstein and Bruckner.

From July 2011, Marzio Conti will become the new Chief Conductor of the Oviedo Filarmonía. As dictated the press release sent by the Orchestra, the Maestro Conti has signed a contract for the next three years.

The conductor Juanjo Mena and the popular fado singer Mariza, with the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada, shall put the finishing touch to the BMW Painting Prizes 25th Aniversary. The concert will be the next Monday 8th November at 19:30 hours, at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

The Real Filharmonía de Galicia's Principal Conductor, Antoni Ros Marbà, will conduct the Mozart's Misa Brevis in the Pope Mass, that will celebrate in the Santiago de Compostela's Cathedral. The event will take place the next Saturday 6th, at 16:30 p.m., and will count with the presence of important soloists: Agustín Prunell-Friend, Alfredo García, Nuria Rial and Carlos Mena.

The conductor Hansjörg Schellenberger will conduct a program dedicated to Mozart. He will share stage with importants soloists of the international circuit, as Christoph Prégardien.

He returns to Oslo to conduct de Benjamin Britten's War Requiem. The soloists will be Ricarda Merbeth, Agustín Prunell-Friend and Thomas Mohr. The concerts will be on 21th and 22th October in the Oslo Konserthus, at 19:30 p.m.

Le 8 octobre la mezzo madrilène María José Montiel a été éblouissante. Elle a exprimé le caractère complexe de son héroïne beaucoup plus par la qualité de son chant que par la provocation du geste imposé par le metteur en scène. Son timbre obscur a souligné l’aspect mystérieux de la gitane, la précision de son chant le caractère bien trempé du personnage. Sa ductilité vocale a traduit l’obsession de Carmen pour le désir de conduire sa vie sur des voies non tracées à l’avance. Sa maîtrise des transitions entre le fortissimo et le piano, a montré la capacité d’adaptation du personnage aux circonstances à tout instant ; par son émission puissante María José Montiel a mis en relief la capacité de Carmen à tenir tête à la violence des chefs de bande – Remendado et Dancaïre magistralement interprétés par Francisco Vas et Marc Canturri- privilégiant par moments, et contre leurs intérêts, l’amour aux affaires. Finalement c’est par l’ensemble bien dosé de toutes ces caractéristiques vocales et par sa présence en scène, que María José Montiel a transmis au public la sensualité et le pouvoir de séduction de la célèbre gitane.

On Friday, 22th October, in Sevilla, will be one of the great liric event of the season: Jonas Kaufmann will sing Die schöne Müllerin, with the accompanying of Helmut Deutsch from the piano.

In a very careful and consistent interpretation, Mena took full advantage of the orchestra and the hall. The Interlude and Dance from La vida breve, which opened the program was bright and lively, be of good comments and please the audience. After this introduction, Estrella Morente came on stage to sing four of the Falla Seven popular songs.

Antoni Ros Marbà conducts his first concert of the season with the Real Filharmonia de Galicia on Thursday, 7th, at the Auditorium of Galicia in Santiago de Compostela, and Friday 8th in the Caixanova Auditorium in Pontevedra.

Musiespaña and BIAM are, from this month, María José Montiel's general managers. The two agencies combines their efforts to develope the career of this fantastic mezzosoprano.

Coincides with the release of the 2010-2011 season of the Orquesta Ciudad de Granada. The program is dedicated completely to Manuel de Falla.

The next Thuesday 5th October, at 19:30 hours, will be the official open of the Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid 2010/2011 Season. The Principal Conductor, José Ramón Encinar, will conduct "Le Martyre de Saint Sébastien", one of the oratories of Claude Debussy.

Just hit the market the last Eldar Nebolsin's recording with Naxos: two CD's with Chopin's piano pieces. A part of the two concerts for piano, the CD's include another piano pieces with orchestra.

The conductor returns to the Italian festival, MITO Settembre Musica, where he lead the ORCAM with two different programs within the contemporary music and classical series.

From 3th to 10th september, Pablo Sáinz Villegas will be on tour with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Americas in the mexican cities of Cuernavaca, Zacatecas, Guadalajara and Mexico City.

As part of the BBC Philharmonic's exclusive contract with Chandos Records, Mena will record regularly with the orchestra. He has already made his first disc with Chandos and the BBC Philharmonic, featuring works by French composer Gabriel Pierné with soloist Jean-Efflam Bavouzet. It will be released next year.
