Born in 1974 in Oviedo, Spain, he studied Piano and Composition, finishing his studies in Barcelona with honours. He studied Composition with José Luis de Delás and Orchestral Conducting with Arturo Tamayo and Pierre Boulez. He received a scholarship from the German Government and the Ensemble Modern in 2006 and did a Master in Contemporary Music at the University for Music and Performing Arts of Frankfurt am Main. He has been awarded the international composition prizes Joan Guinjoan (2002), Luigi Russolo (2003) and SGAE of electroacoustics (2004).
He, repeatedly, was assistant of Arturo Tamayo with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Orquesta Sinfónica de Euskadi, Orquesta del Teatro Nacional Sao Carlos de Lisboa, Orquestra Simfónica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Joven Orquesta Nacional de España, Orquesta de la Comunidad de Madrid, Orquesta y Coro Nacional de España or the Netherlands Radio Symphony Orchestra.
