Marina Pardo graduated in Oviedo obtaining Honours with Professor Celia A. Blanco, the Graduation Prize, and the Extraordinary “Muñiz Toca” Award. In 1994 she was invited by Alfredo Kraus to further her studies at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía de Madrid, and was awarded by Elena Obratzsova and Ana Luisa Chova that same year the First Prize at the II Festival Lírico de Callosa d’en Sarriá. She also holds the First female Prize at the VI “Francisco Alonso” International Competition, and the Silver Medal for the Artistic Merit by the Juventudes Musicales de Santander.
She has performed in numerous recitals with her usual pianist, Kennedy Moretti, highlighting the Winterreise by Schubert at the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. She has performed with the guitarist José María Gallardo, as well as with her ensemble La Maestranza, at Dublin’s Guitar Festival, at the UNESCO’s headquarters in Beirut, and at Warsaw’s Philharmonic Theatre.
