Günter Neuhold

Günter Neuhold was born in Graz in 1947. He studied orchestra conducting in the Hochshule of his city and he then followed advanced courses with Franco Ferrara in Rome and Hans Swarowsky in Vienna. Between 1972 and 1980 he was engaged at various German opera houses, a period he closed as first Kapellmeister in Hannover and Dortmund. After winning several competitions as the first prize in Florence, San Remo and Salzbourg or the second prize in the prestigious contest Swarowsky in Vienna, he then was invited to conduct the main european orchestras, such as Wiener Philharmoniker, Orquesta del Teatro alla Scala from Milán or the orchestras de la RAI from Rome, Turin and Milan.
